Ultimate Crispy Chicken Fried Bacon Recipe

Deep-fried to perfection, chicken-fried bacon has a golden and crispy appearance thanks to a savoury, seasoned flour coating. Serve it with ranch dressing on the side for an added delight.

Components:

  • Four cups of peanut oil
  • One pound of bacon, thickly cut
  • One tablespoon of your preferred seasoning mixture, plus more if necessary
  • Two cups of flour, all-purpose
  • A couple of tsp kosher salt
  • One-teaspoonful of newly ground pepper
  • One tsp of paprika
  • Two big eggs
  • 1/4 cup water or beer
  • Two tsp pure maple syrup
  • Ranch dressing or jalapeño ranch dressing, two tablespoons

Instructions:

Position a wire rack on top of a paper towel-lined baking sheet.

Using a medium heat source, bring the oil in a big, deep pan or Dutch oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the bacon in half crosswise and equally season both sides with the multipurpose seasoning while the oil is heating.

Combine the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in a small bowl. You can season the flour with extra multipurpose spice if you’d like. Whisk the eggs, maple syrup, and beer (or water) in a separate shallow basin.

Each bacon slice should be lightly dusted with seasoned flour before being dipped into the egg mixture and allowed to drain any excess. Once more, coat the bacon with the flour mixture.
